“Moses told this to the Israelites, but they refused to listen to Moses because of their impatience and anguish of spirit and because of their cruel bondage.”  Ex. 6:9 (Amplified Bible)

Normally a person with great sorrow becomes deaf to any kind of advices, general conversation, and things going on around him/her.  It is really not easy to communicate with a person who has lost his/her loved ones, who has failed to keep his/her marriage in tact, who has lost his/her job, who is down in depression. Even Moses, the greatest leader on the earth had failed to communicate.

The above verse really spoke to me deep in my heart. The bondage of the Israelites was so great that they didn’t not listen what Moses had told them. It is very important for us to understand as counselors, as teachers, as preachers, as elders, as parents that unless we build a sense of confidence in the hearts and minds of a sorrowful man/woman on ourselves we can not communicate when they are under bondage; bondage of anxiety, bondage of losing a beloved, bondage of failure in marital relationship, bondage of drugs, bondage of pornography, bondage of humiliation, bondage of sexual sins.

They will have a sense of confidence on us when they find –

So, friends! Remember! Never ever start giving advices or information to a person who was stricken and shaken mentally.

Stay Blessed!
