In the first week of June 2011, this year we had an official tour to Digha, a place on the sea shore of Bay of Bengal on the east of West Bengal, India. It’s around 200 Kilometers away from Kolkata, the state capital of West Bengal, India. We went batch by batch to the lodge which was booked earlier. The sun was shining hot. It was a very hot and humid stay. The first thing we thought of food as it was too late for lunch. We had food in a hotel and then went back to our rooms to take little rest. I was completely dehydrated. So I took a good rest.

We stayed there for 3 days. It was not a very easy going stay though as we had to attend the meetings, listen to expert advices of the bosses, furnish information and clarify financial matters. So it was not a good, leisurely time for me.

But we had a schedule of having morning devotion on the beach at 5:30 am. That was refreshing, relaxing and most beautiful time of that whole trip.

I have uploaded few pictures of the sea shore which was captured by me, given as under with descriptions:

The sand on the beach was muddy and hard. You can see the foot prints prominent on the beach. It is one of the safest beaches.

Number 3

Its the picture of beach market on the entry point to the main sea shore.

Number 4

The slow and low waves on the beach is very much user friendly...lol...! My wife and some others are taking bath.

Number 5

Few Pictures of Fishes, crabs etc. being sold on the beach in dirt cheap prices.

Number 6

Fishes, a closure look...

Number 7

A fisher man showing me two kinds of beautiful yummy fishes (only after frying though) for taking a snap...

Number 8

We are having morning devotion. It was really amazing. The time was 5:30-6:00am but look at the brightness. The sun was shining.

Number 9

The boats on the beach reminded me of Jesus and disciples. But these were very small boats.

Number 10

A coconut vendor trying his best to erect his tent to start selling stuffs. It was pretty windy that day.

Number 11

Chiradeep, standing in awe of His creation...

It was indeed a memorable trip though I was stressed out of work. But the time on the beach was amazing. The blue sky, the cool rising waves, the shining sun, the scenes wide spreading was mesmerizing and awesome.

I along with my wife and others enjoyed the trip to a greater extent.

I tried my best to present this travel article along with the pictures as this is not my genere of writing.

Stay blessed...

Enjoyed seeing an area I have no knowledge of. I was surprised how they sell fish right in the sand like that. I have to come to India one day.

Thanks Sir! The compressed the pictures and they look very bad. I should have waited for uploading for bigger pixel pics...anyway...you are always welcome to India.

You almost brought me there, CP. I am amazed the sun shines so bright at 5.30-6.00am. Our sun only starts to shine lazily and shyly at about 7am especially in months of Jan, Feb & March.

Thank you for sharing your trip with us.

Yeah I know! Its summer that's why the sun rises at 5:30 am. In winter the sun rises at 6:45/7am.
